Muriel Bolton Award 2015

On Sunday 18th October 2015, the Muriel Bolton Award for 2015 was presented to Mary Pat Prendergast of Templeogue LTC.

This Award is made annually to a Lady member of any club affiliated to the Dublin Lawn Tennis Council who in the opinion of the Council has made a significant contribution as a player or administrator to the Dublin Leagues. This award recognises the long contribution of the late Muriel Bolton to the promotion and running of the Dublin Leagues over a period of more than 40 years.

Mary Pat Prendergast certainly fulfils the criteria for this award.  She has been a member of Templeogue Tennis Club for over 45 years, and during that time she has been Ladies’ Captain on three occasions, Hon Secretary twice and also Junior Officer.  She has served on many other sub-committees down the years.  Clearly, her generosity in the giving  of her time speaks for itself.
